New lifestyle brand Miiro to open hotels across Europe

A new hotel brand is set to introduce a collection of individually-designed hotels across Europe. InterGlobe Enterprises, an Indian aviation and hospitality company, has launched Miiro as a lifestyle hotel brand.

The brand aims to open five hotels in leading European destinations in the next two years. The brand’s first hotels will open in Paris and Barcelona in the summer of 2024, followed by London and Vienna in 2025.

The brand anticipates further hotel openings in 2025 and 2026.

The brand’s name is derived from the Latin word ‘miro,’ which means ‘I wonder.’ Every hotel under this brand is inspired by its neighborhood with its unique personality and connection to the local community, Miiro said in a release.

Miiro’s launch is part of InterGlobe’s diversification strategy across Europe through hotel assets in leading European destinations.

“My team and I have been developing the Miiro brand for several years, from the initial market research to the present day, and I’m incredibly proud of what we have created together and delighted to be announcing its launch in 2024,” said Neena Gupta, CEO of Miiro and executive director of group strategy and international hospitality at InterGlobe Enterprises.

“At InterGlobe, we have a proven track record of identifying market opportunities and setting new benchmarks for industries, and Miiro will be no different. We believe there is a better way to travel that is more thoughtful and personal, and through creating brilliantly considered stays that bring Miiro guests closer to the local culture, we can take the hospitality experience to a new level,” Gupta said.

Here are some of Miiro’s upcoming openings:

Le Grand Hôtel Cayré, Paris — Miiro will open its first hotel in Paris in the summer of 2024. The historic Hôtel Cayré will be reimagined to open as Le Grand Hôtel Cayré. The hotel’s design was inspired by Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The hotel offers 123 rooms and suites, a classic French brasserie and a bar. The hotel is located close to several galleries, bistros and boutiques.

Borneta, Barcelona — Located in the old artisan quarter of El Born in Barcelona, Borneta will open in the summer of 2024. The hotel will feature 92 rooms, a restaurant with an open-plan kitchen, a cocktail bar and a rooftop terrace with views of downtown Barcelona.

Templeton Garden, London — Templeton Garden is situated in the area of Earl’s Court in West London, which was once home to writers like Agatha Christie and Beatrix Potter. The hotel has 156 rooms along with a café-cum-deli, restaurant, bar and a standout garden. The hotel is close to some of London’s most popular museums, Kensington Palace and The Thames riverside.
