Mr. C Beverly Hills to rebrand, join Hilton

Mr. C Beverly Hills in Los Angeles is set to rebrand and join the Hilton family of brands. The hotel will undergo rebranding and conversion to operate as Cameo Beverly Hills, Braemar Hotels & Resorts Inc. announced.

Cameo Beverly Hills will be available for booking on Hilton’s website beginning Friday and will join Hilton Honors, Hilton’s guest loyalty program. The property will undergo extensive renovations, expected to be completed by 2025, and will join the LXR Hotels & Resorts, one of Hilton’s luxury brands.

Braemar is planning a $25 million renovation to enhance the hotel, built in 1965. Once completed, the hotel will have a revitalized luxury guest experience and additional amenities and enhanced design elements. Enhancements will include upgrades to the rooms, bathrooms, lobby, restaurant, swimming pool, fitness area and meeting areas.

Mr. C Beverly Hills will rebrand to Cameo Beverly Hills.

“The transformation of this iconic hotel fills a desirable niche in the Beverly Hills lodging market,” said Richard J. Stockton, Braemar’s president and CEO. “We look forward to realizing enhanced financial performance from this property as a result of our significant investment and new partnership with Hilton.”

The conversion will reflect the hotel’s history and premier location in the middle of West Los Angeles, near high-end shopping on Rodeo Drive and iconic amenities.

Remington Hotels will continue to manage the hotel after its conversion under a management agreement.

Braemar Hotels & Resorts acquired Mr. C Beverly Hills in 2021.

Dallas-based Braemar acquired the 138-room Mr. C Beverly Hills in 2021, along with five luxury condominium residences adjacent to the hotel. The total consideration for the purchase was $77.9 million, which consisted of $65.4 million for the hotel ($474,000 per key) and $12.5 million for the condominium units.

This was Braemar’s first acquisition in Los Angeles. Braemar selected Remington to take over the management of the hotel.

Before Braemar acquired it, the hotel underwent an extensive renovation in 2011. The hotel was formerly known as The Tower Beverly Hills Hotel and Loews Beverly Hills Hotel before being rebranded as the Cipriani’s first Mr. C-branded hotel in 2011.
