Motel 6 expands in Las Vegas with new 295-room hotel

G6 Hospitality, the parent company of Motel 6 and Studio 6, has signed an agreement to open a new Motel 6 property near the Las Vegas Strip. Scheduled to open in May 2025, the 295-room hotel will be one of the largest in the company’s portfolio. The property is owned by Los Angeles-based S.R.E Enterprises LLC and is located just over a mile from the Strip, making it an affordable option for both business and leisure travelers.

“This new hotel marks an important step in our expansion,” said Sonal Sinha, CEO of G6 Hospitality. “Las Vegas is one of the most visited destinations in the world, and we’re excited to offer travelers a high-quality, budget-friendly stay. We appreciate our franchise partners at S.R.E Enterprises LLC for their collaboration in bringing this project to life.”

S.R.E Enterprises sees this as an opportunity to grow its presence in the hospitality industry. “We’re proud to work with G6 Hospitality on this project,” said Shawn Evenhaim of S.R.E Enterprises LLC. “Motel 6 is a trusted brand, and this partnership allows us to bring great service and affordable lodging to the heart of Las Vegas.”

The hotel will feature exterior corridors and undergo renovations to update its interiors. Guestrooms will include flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi, and modern furnishings. Amenities will include free parking, an outdoor pool, and private access to the OYO Hotel and Casino.

Las Vegas continues to be a top destination, attracting millions of visitors each year. According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the city welcomed 41.7 million tourists in 2024, with 3.4 million visitors in December alone.

G6 Hospitality is making significant investments in its brand. The company recently announced a $10 million marketing initiative to expand its digital presence, enhance its website and My6 app, and increase app downloads before the summer season. As part of its strategy, G6 is partnering with major platforms like Google and Microsoft to reach high-intent travelers.

The expansion comes as G6 Hospitality moves forward under new ownership. Global travel tech company OYO acquired G6 from Blackstone Real Estate and plans to grow the Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands by adding more than 150 hotels in 2025. This growth will focus on key markets such as Texas, California, Georgia, and Arizona while maintaining the brand’s identity and core values.

In addition, G6 Hospitality recently partnered with HotelKey, a hospitality technology provider, to improve operations across its U.S. and Canadian properties. These advancements align with G6’s long-term goal of modernizing its offerings while remaining a leader in budget-friendly lodging.

With this new Las Vegas location, Motel 6 continues to expand its presence in high-demand markets, offering travelers affordable accommodations in one of the world’s most popular destinations.
