Minor Hotels to launch Anantara in Austria

Minor Hotels is set to introduce its Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas brand in Austria. Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel is slated to open in March 2024, marking the brand’s entry into the country.

The existing Palais Hansen Kempinski will rebrand to launch under the Anantara flag.

The hotel is located on the famed Schottenring, part of Vienna’s Ring Boulevard, and is housed in a listed palace that dates back to 1873. The palace was built by Theophil Hansen for the occasion of Vienna’s World’s Exhibition. The hotel earlier functioned as many municipal offices and cultural venues before it was transformed into a luxury hotel in 2013.

The rebranded hotel will offer 152 rooms and suites on three floors, including a 270-square-meter presidential suite. The presidential suite will be among the biggest in the city.

Guests can enjoy multiple dining options at the hotel, including a Michelin-starred restaurant, the Wintergarten and a lobby lounge and lounge.

The hotel also features 10 function rooms, including a ballroom that can accommodate up to 265 persons, an indoor swimming pool, a spa and a fitness center.
