GLAND, SWITZERLAND Heal & Partners Sàrl, a Switzerland-based hospitality advisory group, is launching a new midscale hotel brand called Spirit Inn & Suites. The brand will make its debut in January in Zaandam, Netherlands.
The Spirit Inn concept is about guests “living” in their hotel during their stay. Properties will consist of about 80% regular guestrooms and 20% extended-stay suites, and the brand will feature a branded restaurant concept called Spirit Café – Restaurant & Lounge.
“From many sides we heard the remark that it was time for new brand in the mid-market segment—a product where the guest is truly at home, where the guest will move about freely, ordering what and when he or she wants it. That’s exactly what we have combined in the mix of Spirit Inn,” says Managing Director Hans Kennedie.
The brand will offer complimentary Internet access, a 24-hour business lounge, a gift shop and a jogging trail dubbed “The Spirit.” All Spirit Inns will be associated with Swiss International Hotels, a sales and marketing consortium founded in 1980. Both Heal & Partners and Swiss International Hotels are part of Swiss International Hospitality Commons.
The first Spirit Inn & Suites will be opened in Zaandam, adjacent to the main railway station and nine minutes from Amsterdam’s city center. The 102-key office conversion has been under way since March. The building is owned by Trinca BV.
Further expansion of Spirit Inn brand is planned in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany and Switzerland.
