Marriott veteran Alex Fiz appointed president of Aimbridge’s All-Inclusive and LATAM divisions

Aimbridge Hospitality has announced the appointment of Alex Fiz as president of Aimbridge Latin America (LATAM) Division and the Aimbridge All-Inclusive Division, effective March 2. Leandro Castillo, current president of Aimbridge LATAM, will retire from Aimbridge effective and serve in an advisory capacity.

“I’m grateful for Leandro’s leadership and the progress made under his tenure. He has played an important role in shaping the LATAM business and supporting its evolution over time. His decision to retire reflects thoughtful timing following years of leading the LATAM business,” said Craig S. Smith, CEO of Aimbridge Hospitality. “Looking ahead, we’re optimistic about Latin America and the continued opportunity within our All‑Inclusive division. I look forward to seeing what we will achieve under Alex’s leadership.”

Fiz will lead Aimbridge’s Latin American and All‑Inclusive businesses as the company continues to build momentum across high‑growth international and leisure segments. He brings extensive operating and commercial experience throughout Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, built during his 34‑year career with Marriott International, where he also led the all‑inclusive strategy and operations in the Caribbean and Latin America. Most recently, Fiz oversaw a multi‑asset transformation of Marriott’s owned portfolio in Barbados.

“We see significant opportunity in LATAM and in the all-inclusive space, and we’ll earn that growth the same way we always do – through disciplined execution and a performance culture that creates incremental value for owners,” added Smith.

Aimbridge LATAM, a subsidiary of Aimbridge Hospitality, serves a diverse portfolio of hotel owners across major global brands and independent properties throughout Mexico and Latin America. The company’s All‑Inclusive division was launched in 2025.
