Marriott signs seven-hotel deal with India’s Ventive Hospitality

Marriott International has signed an agreement with Ventive Hospitality to open seven hotels totaling 1,548 keys across five brands. The portfolio includes brand debuts in India and the anticipated launch of a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Sri Lanka. All seven properties are expected to open in 2030.

The agreement includes the debut of Marriott Hotels & Resorts in Varanasi, Courtyard by Marriott in Mundra, Moxy in Pune and the Ritz-Carlton Reserve brand in Pottuvil. It also introduces a dual-branded development in Navi Mumbai, combining a JW Marriott and a second Moxy in the city.

Pottuvil, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve Located on Sri Lanka’s eastern coast, the property is expected to feature 73 villas with private decks and plunge pools. Amenities will include two specialty restaurants, a Ritz-Carlton Spa, fitness center, marine and wildlife center, water sports club and Ritz Kids Recreation Centre. Access options include a six-hour drive from Colombo or arrival by seaplane or charter flight.

JW Marriott Navi Mumbai The 450-room hotel will be located 10 km from the D.B. Patil Navi Mumbai International Airport. Plans include the JW Garden, five dining venues, 2,000 sq meters of event space, Spa by JW, an outdoor pool and a fitness center.

Varanasi Marriott Hotel will introduce the brand to Varanasi with 161 rooms, three dining outlets, M Club Lounge, a Quan Spa, fitness center and an outdoor pool. It will be located six minutes from the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport.
