Marriott Vacation Clubs expands urban timeshare portfolio with new City Collection

The Marriott Vacation Clubs, a portfolio of vacation ownership brands operated by Marriott Vacations Worldwide, has launched The Marriott Vacation Clubs City Collection.

Comprising Marriott Vacation Club properties (including those which were earlier branded as Marriott Vacation Club Pulse) across seven cities, the City Collection has plans to expand, with three new properties set to open in Waikiki, Hawaii, Charleston, S.C. and Savannah, Ga.

As part of the City Collection’s expansion strategy, Marriott Vacation Club will open a seven-story vacation ownership property in Waikiki later this year. Situated on Kalakaua Avenue, on the south shore of Honolulu, the resort will offer 110 rooms, ranging from one-bedroom and studio units.

Two floors of the hotel will have two floors of retail space, with the rooftop expected to feature amenities such as a pool, bar and fitness center. The new property will include a 10,000-square-foot sales gallery.

Marriott Vacation Clubs will also be adding its first two Westin Vacation Clubs to its City Collection. Anticipated to start development in Charleston, S.C. in 2025, the proposed 50-unit resort will be located close to the Charleston City Market and  include a new sales gallery.

The City Collection will also be adding a property in Savannah, Ga. The new property is scheduled to break ground in 2026 in the downtown district and will also offer a sales gallery.

Every property in the City Collection portfolio has been selected specifically for its central location in the heart of the city:

  • Marriott Vacation Club, New York: Located within walking distance of NYC’s flagship retail stores, Bryant Park and Times Square, the property in Midtown Manhattan includes a rooftop bar.
  • Marriott Vacation Club, San Francisco: The family-friendly property enables guests to explore the Bay Area’s Fisherman’s Wharf, PIER 39, Ghirardelli Square, Anchorage Square, Historic Hyde Street Pier and other popular attractions in San Francisco.
  • Marriott Vacation Club, San Diego: The downtown retreat is situated close to the city’s attractions, such as the Gaslamp Quarter, Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo.
  • Marriott Vacation Club, South Beach: This restored Mediterranean revival property combines history with modern luxury and is located a short walk away from Miami’s South Beach.
  • Marriott Vacation Club at The Mayflower, Washington D.C.: Located in the city’s center and close to museums, shops and restaurants, the property finds a place on the National Register of Historic Places.

All properties in the City Collection portfolio have an onsite City Insider to maximize owner’s, member’s or guest’s experience. City Insiders can help owners, members and guests navigate the city, explore the destination with walking tours, etc.

“The Marriott Vacation Clubs City Collection brings our owners, members and guests to the city – and the city to them – by offering stylish stays that are in the heart of local interests, transportation and attractions, reflecting the spirit and culture of their dynamic surroundings,” said Lori Gustafson, chief membership & commercial services officer at Marriott Vacations Worldwide. “We know our owners, members and guests see great value in being close to the action, so we will continue to look for opportunities to expand our city offerings over the coming years.”
