Mandarin Oriental, Jeddah, is scheduled to open in 2030 and will include a hotel and branded residences in Jeddah Central. The development will add to the Group’s existing properties in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Muscat and Riyadh.
The property is located on a waterfront site in Jeddah Central, which features a marina, private residences, retail and dining areas, cultural attractions and four landmarks including an opera house, an oceanarium, a sports stadium and a museum. The design firm KPF has been selected as master planner and architect for the project. The property will be developed as a low-density, low-rise complex.
“The hotel and branded residences harmoniously blend locally inspired architectural tradition with a contemporary waterside experience that harnesses the energy of the Marina and calm of the Red Sea,” said Bruce Fisher, principal at KPF.
The hotel will have 140 guestrooms and suites with views of the Red Sea. The development will also include 115 apartments with private dining facilities and 187 branded residences with two-to-four-bedroom units. The residences will have access to amenities including a lounge, entertainment spaces, library, cinema, games room, golf simulator, children’s club, swimming pool and fitness centre.
The property will offer five dining venues, including specialty restaurants featuring Mandarin Oriental gastronomy concepts. Meeting and event spaces will include a ballroom. Leisure and wellness facilities will include The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, with a range of signature wellness, beauty and spa services. A kids club and creche will offer age-specific activities.
