Hospitality Lodging Systems partners with S&S’s Live in Lodge brand for extended-stay expansion

Atlanta-based Hospitality Lodging Systems (HLS) has become the exclusive franchise and management company for the Live In Lodge extended-stay brand based on a long-term licensing agreement with S&S Hospitality, also based in Atlanta.

As part of the deal, Hospitality Lodging Systems takes over management of seven existing Live In Lodge properties, all located in Georgia and together featuring 992 rooms.

“Our goal is to redefine affordable extended stay lodging without compromising quality,” said founder Shahid Khan. “This partnership with HLS presents us with the proven personnel, infrastructure, and programs that can immediately expand our geographic reach as well as profit levels for both our owners and our company.”

Hospitality Lodging Systems currently operates 69 hotels across three upper economy limited-service brands. Its portfolio includes 35 Budgetel properties, 25 AmeriVu properties and 9 Haven Hotel properties.

“The Live In Lodge brand allows us to offer owners an attractive way to capitalize on the strong marketplace demand for extended stay lodging. Now owners can give extended stay guests a superior style that they don’t typically expect in this segment,” said Doug Collins, chairman and CEO of Hospitality Lodging Systems.

The Live In Lodge properties that have transitioned under Hospitality Lodging Systems’ management will continue to focus on affordable extended stay accommodations, now supported by HLS resources. The move is expected to strengthen the brand’s presence beyond its Georgia roots.

“For owners whose faith in traditional franchise contracts and oversaturated brands has been shaken, we can restore their confidence with unprecedented control of their properties and their profitability,” said Collins.

The partnership aligns with Hospitality Lodging Systems’ strategy of expanding its reach in the extended stay segment while offering alternatives to traditional franchise models. By integrating Live In Lodge into its portfolio, the company adds a brand positioned to meet demand for longer stays at affordable prices.

For Live In Lodge, the agreement provides a path toward wider recognition in the U.S. market. With support from Hospitality Lodging Systems, the brand aims to grow its footprint and appeal to both guests and owners seeking more flexibility in the extended stay sector.
