The new appointments are meant to drive the LEFT LANE’s expansion and continued momentum across emerging markets across the U.S. In their new roles, Davis, Shell and Tilley will continue to lead strategic initiatives that support revenue growth, client partnerships and brand development, respectively.
“Ryan, Valerie, and Vanessa have each been instrumental in shaping LEFT LANE’s trajectory,” said Jon Kully, managing partner, LEFT LANE. “Their dedication and belief in what we are building have had a meaningful impact on our business. As we continue to grow, particularly across tertiary markets, their expanded roles will be critical in guiding the company’s next chapter.

As chief revenue officer of LEFT LANE, Ryan Davis will lead the company’s integrated commercial strategy across revenue management, distribution, partnerships, marketing alignment and pricing. With more than 20 years of experience in luxury lifestyle and boutique hospitality, Davis has held senior leadership roles at Sage Hospitality Group, high-end resort portfolios and global membership-based travel brands, such as Inspirato and Exclusive Resorts.
Valerie Shell will lead the global sales strategy across the company’s portfolio, creating tailored strategies that drive success for each property. Shell brings more than 15 years of luxury hospitality expertise to her new role, including over a decade with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. She also served as director of travel industry sales and assistant director of sales at Perry Lane Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Savannah.
Vanessa Tilley will lead brand strategy, marketing and creative direction across the company’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio as VP of brand & marketing. In her expanded role, she continues to guide the direction across a growing pipeline of projects, including Recess Hotel & Club Savannah, Hotel Bardo Bozeman, Bardo Residences, Recess Phoenix, Bardo Pittsburgh and future developments in key U.S. markets. Tilley has played a central role in shaping the vision and launch of Hotel Bardo Savannah, an urban resort and private members’ club that launched in February 2024.
LEFT LANE created a new independent hotel brand with the launch of Hotel Bardo Savannah. The firm’s current pipeline includes hotel projects in Pittsburgh, PA; Providence, RI; Phoenix, AZ; Bozeman, MT; and a second property in Savannah, GA. The projects, which are set to open between 2026 and 2028, are adaptive reuse projects repurposing historic buildings into mixed-use urban developments with new F&B concepts, communal spaces for socialization, the brand’s signature private members club called “Club Bardo,” among other amenities.
