Kempinski Hotels has collaborated with Posadas, the Mexico-based hotel operator, to commercialize all 363 rooms of its Kempinski Hotel Cancún in Quintana Roo.
The hotel will be added to Posadas’ inventory as of November and will be available through the hotel operator’s commercial platform, adding to Posadas’ existing portfolio of 195 hotels totaling 29,833 rooms across Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
The partnership recognizes Posadas’ presence, market experience and distribution platforms in Mexico, the U.S. and the entire continent.
The collaboration opens up many more international alliances, said José Lorenzo, commercial director, Posadas. “We are excited about this alliance with Kempinski Hotel Cancún, an icon of luxury hospitality in Mexico and part of a brand recognized worldwide for its excellence in hospitality. Having a property of this relevance and exclusivity reaffirms our position and leadership. At Posadas, we reinforce the commitment to be the most reliable strategic partner for investors and business partners in the Mexican market.”

Kempinski Hotel Cancún is located in the hotel zone, around 25 minutes from the Cancun International Airport and close to the city center. The luxury hotel provides a ‘Lady in Red’ and a ‘Gent in Red’ service, in which brand ambassadors offer personalized accompaniment service upon guests’ arrival as well as knowledge of the local culture to develop customized experiences for each guest. Kempinski Hotel Cancún is among the four hotels globally where this service is available.
Situated along the shores of the Caribbean, the hotel features multiple dining venues, a fitness center with sauna and steam rooms, a tennis center, a spa and more than 3,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor space for meetings and events.
Kempinski Hotel Cancún is Kempinski’s first and only property in Mexico. Earlier operating under The Ritz-Carlton brand, the hotel was taken over by Kempinski in mid-2022. The property underwent extensive renovations and transitioned to the Kempinski brand earlier this year. The posh hotel was one of the first luxury hotels to open in the Cancún Hotel Zone and features 315 rooms and 48 suites with ocean-facing balconies.
Founded in 1897, Kempinski Hotels is Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group. Currently, the company operates 80 hotels and residences across 34 countries, along with more than 26 projects under development worldwide.
