JLL’s Gilda Perez-Alvarado named Accor’s group chief strategy officer

Accor has announced that Gilda Perez-Alvarado, the current global CEO of JLL Hotels & Hospitality, has been appointed as its group chief strategy officer. Perez-Alvarado will step into her new role on October 1 and will become a member of Accor’s management board, in charge of global strategy, relations with hotel owners and strategic partnerships.

She will report directly to Accor Chairman & CEO Sébastien Bazin.

“I am confident that with her considerable skills and global hospitality expertise, Gilda will help us unlock the power of Accor’s strategy providing guests, owners and investors with an unrivaled hospitality experience,” Bazin said.

In her current role at JLL, Perez-Alvarado oversees global investment sales, debt and equity placement, strategic advisory and asset management services and offers expertise in the Americas and Asia Pacific.

She also heads the global hotel desk, JLL’s cross-border investment sales team, which has facilitated the sale of some of the most significant hotel assets globally.

In recognition of her experience in real estate and hospitality sectors, Perez-Alvarado holds board and membership positions at several organizations, including Blackstone Mortgage Trust Inc, Cornell University Board of Trustees, World Travel & Tourism Council and IREFAC.

Among the many awards she has won, she recently received the 2023 IREFAC Arne Sorensen Leadership Award.

With an academic background developed in Europe and North America at Cornell University and IE Business School, she began her career at PwC and joined JLL in 2004. She has more than two decades of experience advising some of the biggest owners and investors, including sovereign wealth funds, global brands, private equity and family offices/UNHWIs.
