Il Mulino New York, the iconic Italian dining concept in New York, is looking to expand its restaurant license division. The fine dining restaurant company seeks opportunities to add hotels and brand partners as its branded licensees.
Licensees will be able to leverage the Il Mulino menu with a choice between the Il Mulino New York, Trattoria Il Mulino or Il Mulino Prime concepts. Â
Licensees of Il Mulino New York can open a full-service Il Mulino restaurant and bar within their properties. Â
According to a recent report, Il Mulino will help its licensees with the design of restaurants and train the culinary team in New York City for “several weeks at a time, to really understand the culture, and the sauces and the preparation.”Â
The company’s pre-opening team is also in charge of tableware, training the service staff and offering purchasing specifications, the report added. Â
Currently, Il Mulino has three licensing partners at hotels — Swan & Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, Fla.; Hilton in Nashville, Tenn.; and Mount Airy Casino Resort in Mt. Airy, Pa. Â
“We are thrilled to expand our restaurant license division and offer hotel owners and brand partners the opportunity to join the Il Mulino family,” said Brian Galligan, president of Il Mulino New York. “Our brand has a strong reputation for exceptional cuisine and service, and we are confident that our iconic menu and dining experience will be a perfect fit for hotels and resorts around the world.”Â
The restaurant, known for its celebrity clientele and white-glove service, has served Abruzzese cuisine for over 40 years. Former U.S. Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton once famously had lunch together at the Il Mulino New York. Â
