IHG’s Hotel Indigo Turks & Caicos Grace Bay announces GM ahead of opening

Hotel Indigo Turks & Caicos Grace Bay, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, developed by owners Molo Hotel Group and managed by Lighthouse Hotel Management, has appointed Mark Illingworth as executive general manager. Illingworth is spearheading the hotel’s opening later this month and will oversee operations upon its debut.

With more than 30 years of international experience, Illingworth brings a diverse background, spanning resort operations, consultancy and senior leadership roles. Throughout his career, he has held various positions, most recently as general manager of Oulton Hall Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort, the flagship property of the Q Hotels Collection. His resume also includes general manager positions within AccorHotels and Bespoke Hotels in the United Kingdom.

“I am thrilled at the opportunity to helm such an outstanding trio of hotel projects along the iconic Grace Bay shoreline, starting with the opening of Hotel Indigo Turks & Caicos Grace Bay in the weeks ahead,” said Illingworth. “The impending opening of Hotel Indigo will set the stage for a diverse collection of retreat settings that we invite travelers to discover, offering a range of new dining options, leisure amenities, and much more. My team and I look forward to welcoming guests very soon.”

Illingworth looks forward to opening Hotel Indigo Turks & Caicos Grace Bay and two other new hotels in Turks and Caicos, which will also include Kimpton Grace Turks & Caicos and InterContinental Turks & Caicos, contributing to the ongoing growth of Lighthouse Hotel Management and Molo Hotel Group.
