On Wednesday IHG announced the appointment of Tom Singer as chief financial officer of the Denham, U.K.-based hotel corporation.
Singer takes over the CFO role from Richard Solomons, who became IHG’s CEO July 1. Singer will start at the position Sept. 26.
“I am delighted Tom Singer is joining IHG. His broad commercial and international experience make him an ideal fit. With a track record of working across a broad range of sectors to drive positive change, he is a welcome addition to the team, and I am looking forward to working with him,” Solomons said.
Singer, 48, is moving into the hospitality industry from health care, as he had been working since 2008 as group finance director for private insurance company BUPA.
