Hyatt Place tackles convenience issue with partnership

Hyatt Hotels Corp., Chicago, is working with Gopuff, a platform for consumers’ immediate everyday needs, to offer an added layer of convenience for travelers at more than a dozen Hyatt Place hotels, providing guests free delivery of thousands of everyday items. The pilot program will roll out at several Hyatt Place hotels across Chicago, Phoenix, Denver and Nashville now through February 2022.

In 30 minutes, guests can receive from Gopuff’s local micro-fulfillment centers a wide range of essential items. The collaboration will expand the Hyatt Place brand’s Necessities program, which offers guests to keep, borrow or buy items such as toothpaste, cellphone chargers or headphones.

Hyatt and Gopuff collected data to identify the most-often-forgotten and most-likely-to-purchase items to create in-app categories such as Travel Essentials, Spa Retreat, Movie Night and Office on the Go. They can also order fresh meals, such as pizza, breakfast sandwiches, cafe style coffee and matcha drinks.

Through February 2022, Hyatt Place guests at the pilot locations can scan the QR code placed in their rooms and common areas to take advantage of the offer during their stay. Once registered, they can shop across various product categories and also receive US$10 credits for their first two orders.
