Hyatt grows luxury, lifestyle brand footprint across Americas region

Hyatt Hotels Corp. continues to expand its luxury and lifestyle brand presence in the Americas region. The company has a development pipeline of over 30 planned properties in the region up to 2025, including introducing Hyatt brands into new markets.

In the last five years, Hyatt has doubled the number of its luxury room count, tripled the number of resort rooms and quadruped lifestyle rooms. Luxury, lifestyle and resort properties now account for more than 40% of Hyatt’s portfolio, establishing its position in the premier market.

Hyatt has been strategically growing its presence with acquisitions and expanding its offerings for members and guests.

The company completed the acquisition of Mr & Mrs Smith, a global travel platform offering access to direct bookings to a curated collection of boutique and luxury properties worldwide.

World of Hyatt, Hyatt’s loyalty program, has also added more stays and experiences. Additionally, following Hyatt’s acquisition of the Dream Hotel Group earlier this year, World of Hyatt members now have more options and lifestyle experiences to choose from.

Park Hyatt Los Cabo del Sol is scheduled to open in Mexico in 2024.

The acquisition has helped Hyatt further its brand presence in a new leisure market in Mexico, with the upcoming 61-key Dream Valle de Guadalupe (to open in 2024) located in the Baja California region. The property will have a large vineyard, luxury spa, three dining and nightlife venues including a private tasting room and pool bar.

“The thoughtful growth of Hyatt’s luxury and lifestyle brands reflect the current demand for authentic leisure travel experiences,” said Crystal Vinisse Thomas, vice president and global brand leader for Hyatt’s luxury and lifestyle brands. “As we look ahead to 2024 and beyond, we strive to create more opportunities for high-end travelers to reconnect in immersive retreats, explore the hearts of new destinations, and revisit their tried-and-true favorites.”
