Viceroy Hotel Group has launched Hotel Zetta San Francisco.
Pebblebrook Hotel Trust acquired the property as the Hotel Milano early last year; the neo-classical building dates to 1913. Viceroy manages the hotel, which is part of the Group’s Urban Retreat Collection.
Seattle-based Dawson Design Associates, Inc. created the 116-key property, which mixes eclectic and sustainable architecture with recycled elements and modern furnishings for a playful atmosphere.
Guestroom desks are made of butcher blocks, inspired by guests who prefer to stand while working. Amenities include smart televisions and docking stations with Bluetooth and streaming technology. The bathrooms feature bright lighting and a walk-in shower with mosaic tiling and glass doors.
The lobby features an interactive Plinko wall and Mac computers. A game lounge on the mezzanine level offers a pool table, shuffleboard, game consoles and a red London-style telephone booth guests can use for Skype or to order food from the restaurant. The walls in the game lounge are covered with antique doors that have been sandblasted and stained.
The S+R (Salvage + Rescue) Lounge from restaurateur Anna Weinberg and chef Jennifer Puccio is in the works, and a restaurant called The Cavalier is slated for an August debut.
The property also features 2,760 sq ft (256 sq m) of meeting and event space, a wellness center, and signing privileges at a nearby spa.
