The independently owned and operated 159-room Hotel VIA will open in spring in San Francisco’s South Beach neighborhood.

The 12-story boutique hotel will be the first newly built hotel in the South Beach neighborhood since 2005. All of the materials and fabrics chosen for VIA – which has 148 rooms and 11 suites – feature a minimalist design concept. Each room is outfitted with modern, custom-made furniture.

The hotel’s technology amenities include in-room triple-play services (voice, video, and data); keyless room entry and personal in-room experience; and high density Ethernet capabilities.

The hotel also has a rooftop lounge with 360-degree views of the San Francisco Giants ballpark, the bay, and the city’s skyline. The 3,000-square foot rooftop from local design firm, C Walters Design, will have an indoor and outdoor lounge with private draped cabanas, contemporary furniture, wind-proof glass, communal tables, and open-air fire pits. Guests will be able to reserve cabanas for dining opportunities.

Other property highlights include a breakfast café, meeting room, event spaces, a communal workspace and technology hub, and fitness center. The hotel will also have an upscale bar adjacent to the hotel lobby that will serve small plates based on seasonal ingredients, handcrafted cocktails, boutique wines, and local craft beer.
