AC Hotels is bringing its European aesthetic to southern California. An affiliate of Irvine, California-based Pacific Hospitality Group, announced the opening of AC Hotel Irvine.

The 176-room Marriott select service brand opened in mid-May and is a mile from Orange County’s John Wayne Airport in Park Place, a mixed-use office, retail and residential development.

The hotel has three meeting spaces of varying sizes, including one that holds up to 40 people. The AC Lobby features open spaces with furnishings and décor aiming to evoke an art gallery. Ambient lighting and seating in the AC Library and Lounge offer space to conduct a business meeting or meet friends.

The AC Lounge serves beer from local breweries, and its signature cocktail, The Swedish Fish, was developed with Orange County’s first craft distillery, Blinking Owl. Puesto, a contemporary restaurant serving Mexico City-inspired cuisine, will open later this summer.

Pacific Hospitality Group owns 12 hotels, resorts and club assets in the U.S. and manages and owns the Meritage Collection of properties.
