Solaya Hotels & Resorts will open Eden Roc at Cap Cana on Saturday, Dec. 15, in the Dominican Republic.
The property includes 34 suites, six dining venues, a spa, a beach club, a kids’ club, meeting and event space, and access to a golf course.
Suites include private swimming pools, relaxation and massage areas, and iPads the control that lighting, sound system, climate control and mini bar and can contact the front desk.
Milan-based designer Marina Nova and Dominican architect Franc Ortega fashioned the resort after a luxe village with aesthetics of the 1960s French and Italian Rivieras. Suite exteriors have vibrant colors like cherry, golden yellow, azure, plum and lime green, while the interiors have a palette of cream and eggshell with coral stone and hand-painted tile flooring.
Executive Chef Gianluca Re Fraschini oversees the six dining venues at Eden Roc at Cap Cana. Mediterraneo serves French and Italian cuisine, while the 20-seat Gastronomico serves global fare. La Palapa by Eden Roc, located at the Caléton Beach club, serves seafood, while the Blue Lagoon Pool-Bar & Restaurant serves deli favorites and light dishes in a more casual environment. La Cava feels like a cozy wine cellar, while Riva Bar draws inspiration from the Riva Aquarama pleasure boat that was popular in Monte Carlo in the 1960s.
The Koko Kids’ Club is headquartered in a large tree house that features play areas, video games, a mini dining area and a mini spa for manicures, pedicures, and hair styling.
Eden Roc at Cap Cana will be Solaya Hotel & Resorts’ anchor property. Twelve of the suites opened earlier this year.
