Casa San Agustín has opened within the walled city of Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.
The boutique property offers 22 individually decorated guestrooms and eight suites and occupies three Colonial buildings. The hotel also preserves an ancient aqueduct.
Interiors feature arched windows, wood-beamed ceilings as high as 25 ft (6 m), flowered terraces, and a series of ironwork chandeliers designed for the restaurant, bar and outdoor terraces. K.S. McRorie Interior Design drew inspiration from the Caribbean Sea to formulate the color palette of whites, deep blues and shades of green.
Some guest accommodations include a plunge pool or a whirlpool.
Restaurant Alma offers local specialties al fresco in the courtyard and includes a bar and poolside lounge.
A terrace on the third floor overlooks the city’s rooftops and serves as a solarium for guests. In the evening, it will transform into a lounge, by invitation only.
