Hilton Garden Inn has launched BizWords, an iPhone/iPad app designed to serve as a social network for business travelers by helping them decode and navigate business jargon.
BizWords prompts users to create a profile and gives them a job title that changes based on interactions with the app. The app features a crowd-sourced collection of trending business buzzwords from around the United States, and users can add their own terms and acronyms. BizWords also contains a link to the Hilton Garden Inn mobile booking app.
“We know that mobile usage indexes very high with both our business and leisure guests, so we developed the BizWords tool to give them a platform to connect, share and have fun all while giving a wink to the business-speak we’ve all become accustomed to using,” said Judy Christa-Cathey, vice president, global brand marketing, Hilton Garden Inn.
