Hilton appoints complex GM for two Curio Collection hotels

Hilton has appointed Thomas Caska as complex general manager of Casa Marina Key West, Curio Collection by Hilton, a 311-room beachfront property on the southern edge of Key West, Fla.; and The Reach Key West, Curio Collection by Hilton, a 150-room boutique resort just west of sister hotel Casa Marina and steps away from Duval Street.

“Thom brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of excellence to Casa Marina and The Reach,” said John Parkinson, area vice president of hotel operations, Hilton. “His leadership managing several top-tier properties in New York has prepared him well for this role. Thom’s vision, operational expertise, and commitment to guest satisfaction make him the ideal leader to guide these iconic resorts into their next chapter of success.

Caska started his career in theatre as the studio general manager of the historic Theatre Row Studios, assisting in the renovation and redevelopment of the Off-Broadway theatre complex, home to five stages. He then took a role overseeing beverage operations at the Beacon Theatre, part of the Madison Square Garden Company, where his cocktail creations were featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine, Healthyish, Edible Manhattan  and more.

Caska joined Hilton in 2014, serving as director of restaurants & lounges at New York Hilton Midtown before moving across town to Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza as director of food & beverage. Caska held the hotel manager position for three years before being promoted to complex general manager of both Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza and Millennium Hilton New York Downtown. More recently, Caska was general manager at Hilton New York Times Square, where he oversaw a $20 million renovation of the property.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to join the incredible team at Casa Marina and The Reach Resort. These properties are truly iconic, and I’m honored to be part of their next chapter,” said Caska. “Trading in my winter snow boots for flip-flops feels like the perfect move, and I look forward to bringing my experience and passion for hospitality to the heart of Key West.”
