Pivot, the lifestyle operating vertical of Davidson Hospitality Group, has been selected by New City Properties to manage FORTH Atlanta, a hotel and social club located in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward. The appointment places Pivot in charge of the overall management of the property, which combines hospitality accommodations, wellness facilities, food and beverage venues and a private members club within a single development.
FORTH Atlanta is housed in a 16-story diagrid tower that includes a 196-room boutique hotel. Of those guestrooms, 39 are apartment-style units designed for extended stays. The property also features four food and beverage concepts, more than 9,700 square feet of event space, an outdoor pool and deck and a 20,000-square-foot fitness center offering classes and wellness services. In addition to the hotel components, the development includes Forth Club, a members-only social club with programmed activities, a private restaurant and a dedicated lounge.
“It is a privilege to collaborate with our partners at New City Properties to continue raising the bar for performance by creating exceptional experiences for our members and guests right in our backyard,” said Thom Geshay, CEO & president, Davidson Hospitality Group. “Leveraging the notoriety of the neighborhood to foster a sense of place combined with the truly standout design and amenities from elevated dining to the city’s premiere social club, we look forward to delivering warm, heartfelt hospitality, where guests can immerse themselves in the best of what Atlanta has to offer.”
The property is positioned within the Old Fourth Ward, an area referenced in the announcement for its proximity to recent development activity, including Ponce City Market and the Eastside trail of the Atlanta BeltLine. New City Properties stated that the selection of Pivot reflects the operator’s experience with independent hotels and its familiarity with the local market.

“Set against the backdrop of the Old Fourth Ward’s latest developments, Ponce City Market and The BeltLine’s Eastside trail, The FORTH Hotel is emerging as the city’s newest gathering place for cuisine, creativity and connection,” said Jim Irwin, president, New City Properties. “Pivot’s experience as an independent hotelier combined with their passion, acumen and local knowledge will undoubtedly result in exemplary experiences for our members and guests, in an environment where the best hospitality professionals in Atlanta will truly love working.”
Davidson Hospitality Group also operates Bellyard, West Midtown Atlanta, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, and Barnsley Resort in Adairsville.
With Pivot assuming management responsibilities, FORTH Atlanta becomes part of Davidson Hospitality Group’s lifestyle-focused operating platform. The collaboration between Pivot and New City Properties marks the next phase of operations for the property as it integrates hotel accommodations, extended-stay units and a private social club under a single management structure.
