Equinox Hotels has announced its expansion into the Caribbean with Equinox Resort Anguilla Port Nimara. The development will be located at the South West End of Anguilla, within the privately owned Port Nimara area, between the Cap Juluca and Altamer estates. The resort and marina complex will include 62 rooms, 18 oceanfront villas, 18 upland villas and 35 branded residences.
The 118-berth marina will accommodate vessels up to 240 feet and operate as a dedicated Equinox Hotels and Port Nimara destination. The project is being developed by South West Harbour Inc., a joint venture of SF Investments Ltd., Time Equities Inc., and Antillean Developments Inc.
“The philosophy, ‘It’s not fitness, it’s life,’ has grounded Equinox—and fueled a cultural movement—for more than 25 years. Equinox Hotels is now a true culmination of our brand promise,” said Harvey Spevak, executive chairman, managing partner, Equinox.
“We are thrilled to bring our unique approach to luxury performance hospitality to North America and the Caribbean,” said Christopher Norton, CEO of Equinox Hotels. “Our expansion into these regions reflects our commitment to innovation and excellence. We are dedicated to creating spaces that combine urban sophistication with resort excitement, providing our guests with unparalleled experiences that align with their high-performance lifestyles.”
“Equinox Hotels perfectly aligns with our vision of Port Nimara, Anguilla, in creating unparalleled luxury marine lifestyle destinations”, said David Mizrahi, CEO and managing partner of South West Harbour Inc. and SF Investments. “Their focus on high-performance living and exceptional health-driven experiences complements the unique vibrancy of our Resort. With Equinox Resort Anguilla Port Nimara, we are elevating the residential offering, providing future owners with a lifestyle that blends performance, luxury, and community in a breathtaking Caribbean setting.”
The marina will serve as a port of entry with customs and immigration clearance for arriving guests. Resort amenities will include an Equinox Club, all-day dining, The Spa by Equinox Hotels, luxury shopping and a promenade linking the marina to the hotel and nearby beach. Christie’s International will support sales of residences, led by Caribbean broker Dominique Silvera. RCP Finance played a role in structuring the partnership.
The Equinox Resort will feature health and community-focused programming, reflecting the brand’s values of movement, nutrition, regeneration and community. The resort is the second integrated marina concept for Equinox Hotels and is part of the brand’s strategy to expand into key global destinations.
The resort aims to integrate high-performance amenities with its surroundings, offering wellness and recreational programming to support active lifestyles while providing residential and hospitality facilities in one location.
