The first SLS-brand, all-inclusive property is coming to Mexico. Ennismore, part of Accor through a joint venture it signed with it in 2021, has announced the signing of SLS Playa Mujeres Cancún, which is slated to open on November 1. The signing also marks the first all-inclusive destination for Ennismore in the Americas.
The resort is located on Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula on 400 meters of seafront and will offer 498 guestrooms and suites in 16 categories, ranging from a 539-square-foot Delight guestroom to The Envy, a 6,000-square-foot, three-bedroom suite.
The opening will also mark the debut of an all-new Elite category, which allows guests exclusive access to VIP dining and entertainment experiences and an array of bespoke amenities and benefits.

SLS Playa Mujeres Cancún will have 18 restaurant and bar concepts, including Fi’lia, Cleo and Privilege, familiar to regular guests of SLS hotels and resorts. Other spaces include a cinema, outdoor theatre, kids’ zone and playroom, spa, gym and workout studios. The property will also offer 24,000 square feet of event space with seven flexible rooms to host events.
Ennismore called the arrival of SLS Playa Mujeres Cancún “an evolution in the all-inclusive market, bringing with it a much more luxury experience and highly programmed resort.” All aspects of a guest’s stay, from food and drink to activities and entertainment, are included in the booking price.
Playa Mujeres is a few miles north of Cancún and is a private gated beach destination on the continental coast of Isla Mujeres. SLS Playa Mujeres is part of Ennismore’s ALL Inclusive Collection and should complement the success of Rixos, another hotel, resort and all-inclusive product in the Accor brand estate.
SLS currently operates seven hotels, including Miami, Dubai and the Bahamas. It has five hotels in the pipeline, including its first European flagship, SLS Barcelona, which is set to open later in 2024.
