Hyatt’s Dream Downtown hotel has appointed Munir Salem as general manager, bringing more than 25 years of global hospitality experience to the New York City property set between Chelsea and the Meatpacking District.

Salem’s journey with Hyatt began as a corporate management trainee at Grand Hyatt Amman in Jordan while studying Finance and Banking. Since then, his career has taken him across the Middle East, Asia and seven U.S. states, with leadership roles at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines, Hyatt Regency St. Louis, Grand Hyatt San Francisco, Hyatt Regency Maui, Hyatt Regency Washington D.C. and Hyatt Regency Greenwich.
Internationally, he played a key leadership role at Andaz Xiamen in China as director of operations. Most recently, he served as hotel manager at Thompson Central Park New York.
