If a Pimm’s and lemonade isn’t enough for peckish visitors of London’s world-famous Chelsea Flower Show, an equally world-famous hotel is offering tea service at the event.
Not just any tea: The Dorchester hotel will recreate its Promenade restaurant at the flower show and offer afternoon tea service from May 24-28 among the floral displays. The pop-up will feature the urns and palms usually found in the hotel’s tearoom, along with the hotel’s own china and pianist. Four afternoon tea services are scheduled, at £60 per person (US$85.27).
Along with finger sandwiches, scones and Champagne, desserts will follow the floral theme, including the Garden Basket, a chocolate, basket-shaped cake with sugar flowers, and The Premise of a Gardener, pictured below. The desserts will also be available at the Dorchester from May 23-29.
