With more than 20 years of leadership experience in New York City hotels, Briks joins Hilton New York Times Square from Martinique New York on Broadway, Curio Collection by Hilton, where he served as general manager since 2021. During his tenure, he reopened the hotel following a two-year closure, oversaw the introduction of new food and beverage outlets and recently led the renovation of the hotel’s lobby.

“Dan is an exceptional fit to lead our team at Hilton New York Times Square,” said Diarmuid Dwyer, area vice president, operations, Hilton. “With more than two decades of proven leadership across some of New York City’s most renowned hotels, Dan brings deep operational expertise, a passion for hospitality, and a track record of elevating guest experiences. His strategic mindset and commitment to excellence make him uniquely equipped to guide this property into its next chapter.”

Prior to his role at Martinique New York on Broadway, Curio Collection by Hilton, Briks served as general manager at Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza. His leadership experience also includes hotel manager positions at The Lexington Hotel, Autograph Collection, and Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel. Briks began his career at the Waldorf Astoria New York as part of the management development program, spending 11 years in various leadership roles across food and beverage and front office operations, ultimately serving as executive assistant manager.

“I’m truly excited to step into this role at Hilton New York Times Square,” said Briks. “This hotel sits in the heart of one of the globe’s most iconic destinations within the Crossroads of the World, and I’m honored to lead such a talented team. Whether guests are discovering New York City for the first time or enjoying a Broadway-filled weekend getaway, I look forward to ensuring every stay is exceptional for every visitor who walks through our doors.”

Briks is currently on the Board of Directors of the Hotel Association of New York City and is a member of the General Manager Committee for the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
