Columbia Hospitality has taken over operations of Hotel Grand Stark in Portland, Ore., expanding its footprint in the Pacific Northwest.
Effective April 1, Columbia Hospitality oversees all operations at the 57-room boutique property, including Little Bitter Bar, an on-site neighborhood bar known for classic cocktails and a curated menu of bites.
Hotel Grand Stark occupies a building more than 100 years old at the corner of SE Grand Avenue and SE Stark Street, situated just across the Willamette River from downtown Portland and near the Oregon Convention Center and Moda Center. The property was renovated and reopened in 2021, pairing historic architectural details with contemporary design.
Its location positions the hotel to serve both business and leisure travelers, with proximity to two of Portland’s major event and entertainment venues.
The addition strengthens Columbia Hospitality’s Pacific Northwest presence and joins its portfolio of properties across the U.S., which includes hotels, resorts, restaurants, spas, golf courses and residential communities.
