Burj Al Arab goes green—literally—for St. Patrick’s Day

DUBAI The famous Burj Al Arab on Thursday became the latest hotel to go green in a major way, but this initiative has nothing to do with the environment.

The iconic building added kelly green lights and a giant shamrock image to its sail-like structure in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

Burj Al Arab joined the other renowned structures, including the Empire State Building in New York, Table Mountain in Cape Town, CN Tower in Toronto and the London Eye to illuminate the night sky with a stunning green glow on St. Patrick’s Day as part of an initiative led by Tourism Ireland.
