Briefs: The Oetker Collection to the U.S.; TRIBE launches in Germany

THE OETKER COLLECTION TO THE U.S.: The Oetker Collection is bringing its European hospitality to the U.S. for the first time and will open The Vineta Hotel in Palm Beach, Fla. in autumn 2024. Paying homage to the hotel’s roots, Oetker Collection is reviving the Vineta name that the hotel held for more than 50 years. The hotel will undergo renovations led by Paris-based interior designer, Tino Zervudachi. The hotel will dining and social spaces, a courtyard and a new Mediterranean-inspired indoor/outdoor poolside restaurant.

TRIBE LAUNCHES IN GERMANY: TRIBE, one of Accor’s fastest growing hotel brands in Europe, has ventured into Germany and opened in Baden-Baden. The 136-room TRIBE Baden-Baden is operated by the Cologne-headquartered The Chocolate on the Pillow Group. The new hotel offers a gym and the signature Social Hub, along with a lounge-style café and bar concept, grab-and-go station and a terrace. Founded in 2017, TRIBE has 12 hotels globally. Earlier this month, the brand debuted in Hungary with an opening in Budapest and is set to open another in Milan in early 2024. TRIBE plans to open 50 more hotels worldwide in the next five years.

HOTEL OKURA ADDS IN CHINA: Hotel Okura Co., Ltd. has signed an agreement with Suzhou Ronghe Real Estate Co., Ltd. to operate and manage Hotel Okura Suzhou in Suzhou, China from 2027. The hotel will be located in Suzhou Industrial Park and will be the first Hotel Okura-branded property in the Jiangsu Province. Hotel Okura Suzhou will be housed in the upper level of a complex, which will also have offices, residences and commercial facilities. The hotel will feature 249 rooms (including 25 suites), four dining options, an executive lounge, a fitness center, an indoor pool and a banquet hall with six meeting rooms. The building will also have guest rooms for extended stays.

THE GOODTIME HOTEL JOINS TRIBUTE PORTFOLIO: The Goodtime Hotel in Miami Beach has joined Marriott International’s Tribute Portfolio. The Goodtime Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is the first collaborative lifestyle brand from David Grutman of Groot Hospitality and Pharrell Williams. Opened in April 2021, the 266-room, full-service boutique hotel is managed by Highgate and features a reimagined Art Deco aesthetic. Spread over 100,000 square feet, the hotel offers a restaurant and 30,000-square-feet pool club, a gym and 45,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. The Tribute Portfolio currently has more than 100 hotels across 30 countries.
