THE LODGE AT SCHROON LAKE OPENS: The Lodge at Schroon Lake has opened as a new lakeside resort on the west shore of Schroon Lake in the Adirondacks. Located 30 minutes from Lake George, N.Y., the 36-acre property underwent a $21-million renovation. The resort features 116 keys, including 32 pet-friendly rooms. Accommodations range from hotel rooms, standalone cabins to glamping sites. Amenities at the resort include several dining venues, an indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, fitness center, game room, private beach, dock space and an activities complex. The resort also features event space for up to 250 guests. A member of the Hay Creeks Hotel portfolio, the resort will be open throughout the year.
MARRIOTT’S TRIBUTE PORTFOLIO DEBUTS IN MONTREAL: Tribute Portfolio, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 31 hotel brands, has launched its first property in Montreal, Canada, with the opening of HONEYROSE Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. Architex Group designed the building, while Provencher Roy spearheaded the hotel’s architecture, interior design and banquet and meeting rooms. Atelier ZĂ©bulon Perron designed the hotel lobby, cafĂ© and restaurant. Located in the city’s Le Quartier des Spectacles, the hotel features multiple dining venues, a movement studio, a dry sauna, a spa, a swimming pool, a boutique and five meeting rooms totaling more than 7,000 square feet. Currently, the Tribute Portfolio has more than 85 hotels across 30 countries.
ASHFORD SECURITIES RAISES $500M IN CAPITAL SINCE 2021:Â Ashford Securities LLC, a fully-owned subsidiary of Ashford Inc., has reached a milestone of $500 million, including $42.1 million from institutions, in capital raised in less than two years of serving investors through the independent broker-dealer and RIA distribution channels. The company formerly served as the managing broker-dealer for Ashford Hospitality Trust, Inc. and a private offering that targeted investments across all types of commercial real estate in Texas. So far, more than 88 independent broker-dealers and RIAs have used the investment products distributed by Ashford Securities.
DESOLATION HOTEL OPENS SECOND CALIFORNIA HOTEL: After opening its first luxury micro-resort in South Lake Tahoe, Desolation Hotel has expanded to a second location in Sierra Nevada — Desolation Hotel Hope Valley in Hope Valley, Calif. The family-owned, eco-conscious hotel brand will offer a shuttle between the two properties. Earlier known as the Sorensen’s Resort, Desolation Hotel Hope Valley offers 27 cabins, seven luxury yurts, a restored 1951 Spartan Trailer, which has been converted into a glamping site and campgrounds for RV and tent camping. The hotel also features a wood-fired sauna, telescopes for stargazing, outdoor firepits, summer lawn games, a general store, a café and EV charging stations.
RADISSON ADDS HOTEL IN INDIA: Radisson Hotel Group has announced the opening of Radisson Hotel Sonamarg in Jammu and Kashmir, India. This is the company’s seventh operational hotel in the region. Situated amid mountains, the new hotel offers 58 rooms, an on-site restaurant and an all-day dining space. Radisson currently has more than 150 hotels in operation and development across India, with more than 50% of its portfolio in tier-2 and 3 markets.
