Quest wets toes in UK: Quest Apartment Hotels has expanded into the UK with the signing of its first site in Liverpool, a £10 million (U.S$13 million) investment. Quest Liverpool City Centre will open in 2019 and is located along one of the city’s biggest retail strips and adjacent to the Liverpool ONE complex.

C1 Capital acquires Park Inn Northampton: C1 Capital acquired the 146-room UK-based Park Inn hotel Northampton. The hotel, which was originally part of the Queens Moat House Group, was bought as part of a £100 million (US$132 million) eight property portfolio in 2006 which the directors of C1 Capital were involved in. 

 


Irma news: Following the hotel’s recent closure due to Hurricane Irma, Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa which opened last fall, plans to re-open as soon as possible in 2018. Renovation plans for the hotel are underway.

 


 

Nikko Style: Japanese hospitality company Hotel Okura Co. and Trinity Investments, a Hawaii-based private real estate firm, have gone in on a joint venture to create Nikko Style an upscale select service brand that will be introduced throughout Japan. The brand will be operated by Okura Nikko Hotel Management Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Okura.
