MIRAGE BY MGM TO SHANGHAI: Tishman Speyer has signed a hotel management agreement with Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality to develop and operate a Mirage by MGM located in the last mixed-use tower currently under construction at The Springs in Shanghai. Mirage by MGM Shanghai will be housed within the 56-story AXIOM Tower B, which is being developed by Tishman Speyer along with Chengtou Holding. The tower will include offices, a theater, retail spaces, dining options and hospitality-infused amenities. Tower B forms one half of a pair of skyscrapers known as the “Eye of Wisdom.” The 280-meter Tower A was completed in 2023, with Tower B slated for completion in 2025. Occupying the ground to the 18th floor, Mirage by MGM Shanghai is expected to open in 2027 and will feature 205 luxury rooms, event spaces, fitness areas and other upscale amenities. The fifth floor will house dining venues, bars and an outdoor terrace connected to a swimming pool; while the ground floor will offer a banquet hall.

APERTURE HOTELS GROWS PORTFOLIO: Aperture Hotels, the hospitality management provider specializing in premium lifestyle, compact full-service, select-service and extended-stay hotels, has added 12 hotels to its portfolio in the past 12 months. These new additions comprise Hilton, Marriott and IHG-branded hotels, as well as some independent properties. Located from Florida to California, the hotels include Hotel Spero – San Francisco and Clair Tappaan Lodge – Lake Tahoe Area, along with a voco conversion, four Hampton Inns, two Holiday Inn Express hotels, a Fairfield Inn, a Tru and other independent properties. The recent additions expand Aperture’s presence, with six hotels in Tennessee, two each in Texas and California and one each in Florida and Wisconsin.
ACCOR EXPANDS IN GERMANY: Accor has added to its German portfolio with the opening of Novotel Hamburg Central Station. Slated to open on Monday, the hotel is located next to Hamburg’s main railway station and shopping street of Mönckebergstrasse. Featuring an open space concept, the 227-key hotel includes a lobby, coworking spaces, relaxation zones, a bar and lounge, restaurant, fitness center and five event rooms. Including this Novotel, Accor operates 21 hotels across Hamburg. The group plans to open two more hotels in Hamburg this year — ibis Styles HafenCity and Novotel Hamburg HafenCity — offering a combined capacity of 793 rooms.
RESIDENCE INN AT GALVESTON ISLAND: LBA Hospitality has announced the opening of Residence Inn Galveston Island. Located in Galveston Island, Texas, the hotel marks the first collaboration between LBA and Om Sai Hospitality, the property’s owners. The partnership is an extension of LBA’s existing agreement with Details Hotel Group, co-owners of Om Sai Hospitality. Residence Inn Galveston Island features apartment-style accommodations, comprising studios and one-bedroom suites, with many offering ocean views. Amenities include complimentary breakfast, an outdoor swimming pool, a bar and meeting space for up to 70 persons.
SANTA FE FOUR SEASONS RESORT COMPLETES RENOVATIONS: Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado in Santa Fe, N.M., has completed a multi-million-dollar renovation. The revitalization included the 65 casitas at the luxury boutique resort. Now available to book, the new pueblo-inspired design combines classic style and contemporary elements. Each room includes horse hair pottery by artist Linda Concho of Kachina Country USA. The nine suites have been redesigned and have separate living, dining and sleeping areas. Located in a 57-acre plot in the Sangre de Cristo foothills, the resort also has an Adventure Center, a spa and a restaurant.
