MINOR DEBUTS IN PARIS: Minor Hotels has debuted in Paris with three luxury hotels, which will open in the first quarter of 2024 under the NH Hotels brand. The three hotels are the 207-room NH Paris Gare de l’Est and the 103-key NH Opéra Paris Faubourg. The third hotel, with 90 rooms, will be rebranded to open as NH Paris Champs-Elysées in 2025 after undergoing renovations. The three hotels are owned by Swiss Life Asset Managers France. These properties will join Minor’s existing portfolio of six hotels in France. Future openings in the NH Collection include in destinations such as Finland, Thailand and Laos. Currently, Minor’s portfolio includes more than 540 hotels across 56 countries.

EDITION TO OPEN IN SINGAPORE: EDITION Hotels, part of Marriott International, has marked its entry into Southeast Asia and is set to open EDITION Singapore by the end of the year. Masterminded and conceived by Ian Schrager in partnership with interior design company Cap Atelier, the hotel is located on the western end of Singapore’s upper Orchard Road. The 204-room hotel’s architecture was led by Safdie Architects and Singapore-based studio DP Architects. The hotel offers four dining venues, a rooftop pool, an indoor garden, a spa, a gym and an 81-square-meter boardroom. The hotel will open in preview from Thursday. Currently, EDITION operates 17 hotels globally, with properties set to open in Mexico and Tokyo later this year.
U.S. PERFORMANCE UPDATE: Hotel performance in the U.S. showed an expected decline from last week and mixed YOY comparisons, according to CoStar’s data through November 9.

With Halloween falling on Tuesday, the dip in occupancy was anticipated. Out of the top 25 markets, St. Louis recorded the highest YOY gains in each of the three key performance metrics: occupancy (+6.4% to 59.2%), ADR (+12.3% to $131.16), and RevPAR (+19.5% to $77.64). The market’s performance was driven by Metallica’s M72 World Tour. The steepest RevPAR declines were registered in Miami (-22.5% to $131.88) and Tampa (-19.6% to $87.29).
HOTEL RL CLEVELAND AIRPORT TO REBRAND UNDER SONESTA: Sonesta International Hotel Corp. has opened Hotel RL Cleveland Airport in Olmsted, Ohio. The 140-room hotel is located close to the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. The hotel will undergo $3 million renovations and rebrand as Sonesta Cleveland Airport by mid-2024. A new dining concept is expected to be added as part of the renovations. The hotel will remain open during the transformation. The hotel is owned by LightHouse Hotels and Resorts.
AIRBNB LAUNCHES GUEST FAVORITES COLLECTION: Airbnb has introduced ‘Guest Favorites,’ a global list of 2 million “most loved homes” based on reviews, ratings and reliability. All homes in this collection have excellent reviews and are rated more than 4.9 stars on average. These homes get high ratings for easy check-in listing accuracy, cleanliness, host communication, value and location. The homes included in this collection will feature a new badge on the search and listings page. Airbnb has also enhanced its ratings page. The San Francisco-based company also allows hosts to share more details about their listing, including an AI-powered photo tour, which will arrange photos by room to provide a better sense of the home’s layout.
