ENNISMORE SIGNS SECOND MAMA SHELTER IN LOS ANGELES: Ennismore is set to open its second Mama Shelter hotel in Los Angeles. Ennismore and partner Shivom LLC have signed Mama Shelter Downtown LA, slated to open in early 2026. Mama Shelter LA, the brand’s first hotel in the city, opened in May 2015 in Hollywood. The existing Mart South Building in Downtown LA will be transformed to open as Mama Shelter Downtown LA. The hotel will have 149 keys, including 145 standard rooms and four suites. The hotel will include three dining options, a fitness center and a parking garage. The hotel is owned by Shivom LLC, led by Harry and Kevin Wadhwani, which will partner with Sammy Chotirmal of Hospitality Solutions to adapt the site for the hotel.

FONTAINEBLEAU LAS VEGAS ACCEPTING RESERVATIONS: The Fontainebleau brand has launched in the Las Vegas Strip as Fontainebleau Las Vegas, the luxury resort and casino developed by Fontainebleau Development. The resort is expected to open on December 13, pending regulatory approvals. The property is in the final stages of construction and has started accepting reservations. The 67-story, vertically-integrated luxury resort is the “tallest occupiable building in Nevada” and the first western expansion for the brand. Designed by Fontainebleau Development’s in-house design team, the resort features 3,644 rooms and suites along with a 14,000-square-foot fitness center, a 55,000-square-foot spa designed by Milan-based Lissoni & Partners, multiple restaurants, a 96,500-square-foot luxury boutique retail district on the first two levels, a six-acre pool district, 550,000-square-foot customizable meeting space and 150,000 square feet of gaming space. The resort is also set to open LIV and LIV Beach experiences. The hotel is located on around 25 acres in the northern part of the Las Vegas Strip. Fontainebleau Development, in partnership with Koch Real Estate Investments, acquired the property in 2021. The resort will be operated solely by Fontainebleau Development once it opens.
ST. REGIS RED SEA OPENS BOOKINGS: The St. Regis Red Sea Resort, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s global portfolio of 31 hotel brands, has opened bookings ahead of its opening this winter. Slated to open in December, the hotel is located on Ummahat Island in a conservation area on the Red Sea coast. Guests can reach the hotel by chartered boats or seaplanes. The resort has 90 beachfront and overwater villas, ranging from one- to four-bedroom units, each with a private pool and sundeck. The resort also features five restaurants, two outdoor pools, a fitness center, a spa and a children’s club.
CRESCENT ACQUIRES THE ELEMENT ORLANDO: Crescent Real Estate LLC has acquired the Element Orlando Universal Blvd. through its investment vehicle, GP Invitation Fund III, LP. Crescent reportedly acquired the hotel for $39 million from Peachtree Hospitality Management. The 165-key hotel is operated under a franchise agreement with Marriott International and is located outside the Icon Park mixed-use development. One of the newest select service hotels in the neighboring submarket, the hotel’s guestrooms feature fully equipped kitchens in studios and suites and spa-inspired bathrooms. Crescent has appointed HEI Hotels & Resorts to manage the hotel.
MISSION HILL ACQUIRES RESIDENCE INN IN BRECKENRIDGE, COLO.: Mission Hill Hospitality has acquired the 129-key Residence Inn by Marriott Breckenridge, Colo. Terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed. This is Mission Hill’s third acquisition in Colorado, following the acquisitions of Holiday Inn and La Quinta Steamboat Springs earlier this year. Opened in 2016, the hotel is located in the Historic District of downtown Breckenridge. The hotel includes a fitness center, cocktail bar and lounge, an outdoor pool and hot tub, a health club and 1,700 square feet of flexible meeting space. Founded in 2021, the Denver-based Mission Hill’s portfolio now comprises 33 hotels in 16 states.
