LUXURBAN HOTELS OPENS THREE NYC HOTELS: LuxUrban Hotels Inc. has opened three previously announced hotels in New York City, acquired under long-term master lease agreements. Two of the hotels are situated in Times Square and the third is in the Flatiron District. Totaling 368 rooms, the three hotels will join the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts brand as âby LuxUrban, Trademark Collection by Wyndhamâ and Wyndhamâs operating platform. The new additions will also contribute to LuxUrbanâs Q4 2023 operating results. With these properties, LuxUrbanâs portfolio includes 1,886 rooms. LuxUrban will add seven more properties under long-term master lease agreements totaling 1,604 rooms in Q4 2023. These properties will also join the Wyndham brand family. The company aims to have 2,146 rooms in 21 properties operational by the end of this month, excluding the seven hotels it will acquire later this year.

W HOTELS OPENS IN SYDNEY: W Hotels, part of Marriott Bonvoyâs portfolio of more than 30 hotel brands, has opened W Sydney. The curved hotel building sits over the Darling Harbour, marking W Hotelsâ return to Sydney. Located within The Ribbon, the hotel has been designed by Australian architectural company Hassell, with interiors designed by London-based Bowler James Brindley. The hotel has 588 rooms, including 162 suites, four dining and bar options, a 30-meter open-air pool, spa, fitness center and 1,300 square meters of event space across eight rooms.
LONDONâS PERFORMANCE GROWTH NORMALIZES:Â Londonâs hotel industry reported normalized levels of growth as the summer travel surge concluded, according to preliminary September data from CoStar.

- RevPAR: ÂŁ175.75/$215.41 (+5.7%)
Measured against robust performance in September 2022, the ADR and RevPAR gains were Londonâs lowest this year. The increase in occupancy was the second lowest this year, behind July (+2%). However, 84.3% occupancy was Londonâs highest occupancy in September since 2019. In terms of daily data, London saw its highest occupancy levels during the Defence and Security Equipment International exhibition on September 13 (Wednesday) and September 12 (Tuesday) (at 94.6% and 94.2%, respectively). Daily occupancy levels remained above the 70% mark in September, except on September 3 (Sunday) (66.3%).
SECRETS RESORT GROWS MEXICAN FOOTPRINT: Hyatt Hotels Corp. has added its latest entrant to the Inclusive Collection with the opening of Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club in Tulum, Mexico. The adults-only resort grows Inclusive Collectionâs presence in Mexico to 44 resorts and marks the 12th Secrets Resort & Spa-branded property in the country. Located in downtown Tulum, the property offers 300 suites and private villas, eight dining venues, four bars and lounges, a beach club and wellness areas. The resort was designed by architect Michael Edmond. The beach club includes a beachfront five-bedroom villa with views of the Caribbean Sea. With a capacity of up to 10 persons, guests can access a private chef, 24-hour concierge services, lounge areas, private living areas, a private plunge pool and a rooftop with a wet bar.
COURTLAND HOTEL JOINS WYNDHAM: The Courtland Grand Hotel in Atlanta has joined the Trademark Collection by Wyndham. The former Sheraton hotel is operated by HEI Hotels & Resorts. The 763-key hotel features a fitness center, a garden courtyard with a heated pool covered by a retractable glass dome, several dining venues and around 100,000 square feet of meeting space. Trademark Collection by Wyndham focuses on three- and four-star hotels looking to utilize Wyndhamâs resources and scale while maintaining their hotelsâ unique character. The brand has over 185 hotels in 25 countries.
