Briefs: Few & Far unveils inaugural safari lodge; Capella’s luxury homes in South Korea

FEW & FAR UNVEILS INAUGURAL SAFARI LODGE: Few & Far, the new safari brand founded by Sarah and Jacob Dusek who also created glamping company Under Canvas, have unveiled plans to open its first branded eco-lodge, Few & Far Luvhondo. The  boutique experiential luxury property will be located in Limpopo, South Africa within the Soutpansberg Mountains, part of UNESCO’s Vhembe Biosphere Reserve. Expected to open in early 2025, the property will have six suites with a cable car system, a solar-powered aerial experience inspired by weaver bird nests offering a 40-kilometer-long game-viewing safari above treetops. Few & Far Luvhondo will also have dining and wellness offerings and offer customized safari experiences, such as guided game drives, bush walks/hikes, birdwatching, overnight excursions, mountain biking and e biking and cultural excursions.

CAPELLA SIGNS LUXURY HOMES IN SEOUL: Capella Hotel Group has added to its luxury homes portfolio and collaborated with Heonin Town Development to open Capella Residences Seoul. Slated to open in 2027, the flagship homes will mark Capella’s entry into Seoul. Located in the Seocho-gu area of Gangnam, the project will offer a collection of residences. Singapore-based Capella has two brands under its portfolio — Capella Hotels and Resorts and Patina Hotels & Resorts.

DAVIDSON, AHED PARTNER FOR HOSPITALITY EQUITY, DIVERSITY: Davidson Hospitality Group has partnered with Alliance for Hospitality Equity & Diversity (AHED) to reinforce its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion through internships; deployment of a scholarship program; participation in dedicated career fairs and campus takeover events; targeted recruitment of students within underrepresented populations; and creation of new opportunities for graduating students to join manager-in-training programs. Davidson Hospitality Group’s Chief Administrative Officer Crystal Beasley has been appointed to the AHED Board.

ESA OPENS IN MONTANA: Extended Stay America (ESA), the mid-priced extended-stay hotel brand, has opened the Extended Stay America Premier Suites Belgrade- Bozeman- Yellowstone Airport. Located in Belgrade, Mont., the hotel was developed by Rimrock Companies and will be managed by Hotel Management & Consulting. The four-story, 124-room new-build property includes a fitness center, onsite guest laundry facilities, separate pet area, grill and picnic area and a signature lobby with vending options. All suites have fully equipped kitchens and signature bedding, recliner and workspace. Currently, ESA has more than 700 hotels across the U.S.
