EVERHOME SUITES EXPANDS IN THE NORTHEAST: Choice Hotels International has expanded its Everhome Suites brand and has broken ground on three developments in Portsmouth, N.H.; Rochester, N.Y.; and Somerset, N.J. The hotels are being developed in partnership with Highside Companies. The three hotels include the 106-room Everhome Suites Portsmouth (opening in summer 2025); the 114-room Everhome Suites Somerset (opening in fall 2025); and the 114-room Everhome Suites Rochester (opening in spring 2025). The demand for longer stay accommodations has fueled the growth of Choice’s extended-stay brands. Currently, Choice has around 480 hotels open and over 400 more in the pipeline across its four extended stay brands. Everhome Suites, Choice’s midscale extended stay brand, has four open hotels, more than 60 in development and 20 under construction. More than 10 Everhome Suites properties are scheduled to open within 2025.
FOUR SEASONS’ SECOND RESIDENTIAL PROJECT IN DUBAI: Four Seasons has collaborated with Dubai-based real estate investment company Bright Start to announce Four Seasons Private Residences Dubai at DIFC. This is the second standalone and new-build Four Seasons residential project in Dubai and will be developed by H&H Development. Consisting of four towers, the property will have 52 luxury homes. The property will be located within the mixed-use project designed by architect David Chipperfield. The residences will feature interiors fully fitted and furnished by atelier Tihany Design. All units will have terraces with views of downtown Dubai, the development’s gardens or the retail courtyard below. Homes will also have separate office spaces, a family room, laundry room and dedicated service entrances. The two penthouses will have their own private swimming pools. The building’s 12th floor will offer amenities such as a resident’s lounge and terrace, pool, gym, spa, golf stimulator, children’s area and meeting spaces. Currently, Four Seasons operates 55 branded private residences globally.
LE MÉRIDIEN ATLANTA PERIMETER CHANGES HANDS: Whitestone Companies, the Columbus, Ohio-based real estate development, in partnership with Shaner Hotels, has acquired the 275-room Le Méridien Atlanta Perimeter. The acquisition helps Shaner Hotels expand its presence in Georgia. Located in the Atlanta Perimeter Area, the hotel is situated next to the Perimeter Mall. The hotel features a signature restaurant, an outdoor pool with cabanas, a fitness center and roughly 10,000 square feet of meeting space.
HOTEL CLEVELAND OPENS AFTER $90M RENOVATIONS: Hotel Cleveland, Autograph Collection has opened, following a $90 million restoration. Formerly known as Cleveland Renaissance Hotel, the hotel has joined Marriott’s Autograph Collection. The iconic hotel offers 441 guest rooms and 50 suites, a reimagined lobby, two restaurants and a bar and 59,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel is owned by Toronto-based Skyline Investments and managed by Aimbridge Hospitality. The historic hotel first opened in 1918 as Hotel Cleveland, but served as hospitality center as early as 1815, when Phinney Mowrey opened Mowrey’s Tavern, which included guestrooms.
