DE L’EUROPE AMSTERDAM’S NEW LOOK: De L’Europe Amsterdam, the landmark hotel on the river Amstel, has unveiled a complete property redesign. Built on the site of a 17th-century inn, the hotel is one of the city’s oldest independent luxury hotels. Established in 1896, renovations have seen upgrades to the hotel’s rooms, suites and the entire ground floor, including a revitalized grand lobby, event spaces and three restaurants. Later in the year, a new collection of suites will open in the adjacent ‘t Huys wing. The ground floor also houses a library-inspired bookstore. Owned by the Heineken family since 1950, De L’Europe Amsterdam is the last remaining family-owned luxury property in Amsterdam and is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
