AQUA-ASTON LAUNCHES DUAL-BRANDED HOTEL: Aqua-Aston Hospitality, the Honolulu-based hotel management company, has opened a dual-branded Fairfield Inn & Suites and TownePlace Suites in Tempe, Ariz. The four-story, 148-room Fairfield Inn & Suites Tempe and TownePlace Suites Tempe is situated close to retail, restaurant and entertainment venues, such as the Arizona State University and Tempe Marketplace. The 83 rooms at the Fairfield Inn & Suites unit cater to short-term guests, while the TownePlace Suites offers 65 rooms for extended stays. Led by EKN Development, the 80,816-square-foot property has shared spaces, including a restaurant and bar, guest laundry facilities, a business center, an outdoor pool and hot tub, covered pool deck with a fire pit and a fitness center. The property also features 2,176 square feet of flexible meeting area.

ENNISMORE’S MONDRIAN TO BUCHAREST: Ennismore has partnered with One United Properties, the green investor and developer of residential, mixed-use and office real estate in Romania, to open a Mondrian hotel in Bucharest. Mondrian Bucharest will be situated near the Romanian Athenaeum, where One United previously acquired a development site to transform into a hotel. The hotel will feature 10 rooms and suites, a pool, spa and upscale dining outlets. Interiors will be designed by Lemon Interior Design. Mondrian Bucharest will mark the debut of One United in Bucharest’s hospitality market.
U.S. PERFORMANCE UPDATE: Hotel performance in the U.S. showed mixed results last week, according to CoStar’s data through March 2.

Among the top 25 markets, Seattle saw the highest YOY occupancy lifts (+12.1% to 66.5%). Las Vegas, helped by the NAHB International Builders’ Show, recorded the highest growth in ADR (+25.4% to $249.3) and RevPAR (+36.5% to $217.82). The steepest RevPAR declines were seen in Detroit (-9.8% to $66.13) and St. Louis (-8.3% to $62.56).
EVERHOME SUITES’ EAST COAST DEBUT: Choice Hotels International, Inc. has opened Everhome Suites in Newnan, Ga. This marks the midscale extended-stay brand’s launch on the East Coast. The hotel is situated on a dual-site property, alongside the economy extended-stay brand WoodSpring Suites. This is also the first dual-branded property for the two of Choice’s four extended-stay brands. Both the hotels are owned by Turnstone Group. The four-story, 115-room pet-friendly hotel includes fully-equipped kitchens, multipurpose lobby and outdoor amenity areas, a fitness center and guest laundry facilities. At present, Everhome Suites has 66 properties in its pipeline.
MARRIOTT TO BRING AUTOGRAPH COLLECTION IN HONG KONG: Marriott International, Inc. has signed an agreement with Victoria Park Hotels Ltd. to launch The Park Lane Hong Kong, Autograph Collection in early 2025. The property will join Autograph Collection Hotels’ collection of more than 300 independent properties globally. Located on Gloucester Road in Causeway Bay, which houses Victoria Park, the biggest public park in Hong Kong, the hotel will be part of a 28-story mixed-use development. The hotel will feature 820 rooms, an executive lounge, three dining options, recreational facilities and more than 1,700 square meters of event spaces. Some rooms will offer views of Victoria Harbour, while some will have views of the city or Victoria Park. Currently, Marriott International operates 13 hotels in Hong Kong under 10 brands.
