ANANTARA RETREAT IN ABU DHABI:Â Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas, the luxury hospitality brand by Min, has opened Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi Retreat in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. Located between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the adults-only property features 22 luxury rooms and suites, in a Greek island-inspired design. All the rooms offer views of the Persian Gulf and guests can avail a 24-hour butler service. The property is available for exclusive buyout. The retreat includes two signature restaurants, an infinity pool and a spa with a plunge pool, Himalayan salt sauna and hammam. Currently, Minor has more than 540 hotels in operation globally.

DOUBLETREE BY HILTON MONTREAL CHANGES HANDS: Pandox has entered into an agreement to sell DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal in Canada for CA$80 million (US$59.2 million) to an undisclosed buyer. The sale includes the 595-room hotel as well as its operations. The deal is expected to close in Q2 2024. The total gross value of the deal totals CA$95 million (US$70.31 million). The buyer is a Montreal-based hotel property owner and developer, Pandox said in a statement. Pandox said that the divestment will help realize value and free up capital for investments with higher return potential in their home markets. Pandox has owned the hotel since 2008 and has developed it in stages. The hotel’s revenue in 2023 stood at CA$50 million (US$ 37 million).
RED ROOF OPENS IN YUBA CITY: Red Roof has opened the dual-branded HomeTowne Studios Yuba City and Red Roof Inn Yuba City in Yuba City, Calif. The HomeTowne Studios is a 76-room extended-stay hotel offering kitchens with full-sized refrigerators, microwaves, stove tops and activity tables. The hotel offers weekly housekeeping and kitchen kits. Located adjacent to the HomeTowne Studios, the Red Roof Inn Yuba City features 43 rooms. Both the hotels have a fitness center, complimentary breakfast, an outdoor hot tub and a seasonal pool. As part of the conversion, the hotels have received new bedding, revitalized bathrooms and a new pet relief area. The properties are owned by Surendra and Hema Patel of Greenleaf Hospitality LLC.
IHG’S GARNER ANNOUNCES NEW OPENINGS, SIGNINGS: Garner hotels, IHG Hotels & Resorts’ latest midscale conversion brand, has unveiled new openings and growth milestones. Launched in August 2023, Garner opened its first hotel in December 2023 in Auburn, Wash. Since then, franchising availability has been announced for Mexico and Canada will be available by March-end. Garner will expand in the EMEAA region, with IHG signing a recent LOI with Axe Management Partners in Japan to convert three properties to Garner in Osaka. Garner plans to open over 500 hotels in the U.S. in the next 10 years. Some of its milestone openings include the 63-room Garner Hotel Macon West in 2023-end and the 86-room Garner Hotel Oklahoma City – Quail Springs Quail Springs Mall, Lake Hefner, and Remington Park Racetrack and Casino Area. Garner has recently signed properties in Topeka, Kan.; Provo, Utah; Brenham, Texas; Mahwah, N.J.; Dowell, Ill.; Gillette, Wyo.; and Clarksville, Tenn.
