Briefs: Anantara resort, residences in Bali; Radisson adds to Vietnam portfolio

MINOR SIGNS ANANTARA RESORT, RESIDENCES IN BALI: Minor Hotels has signed an agreement to manage a new-build resort and branded residences in Bali, Indonesia. Anticipated to open in 2027, the Anantara Dragon Seseh Bali Resort will mark the third Anantara Hotels & resorts-branded property on the island of Bali. The luxury beachfront resort is located along the black volcanic shores of Seseh Beach. British architect John Dawes led the resort’s architecture, which was inspired by the Barong of Bali, a mystical dragon-like guardian. Anantara Dragon Seseh Bali Resort features 216 keys, a combination of lead-in rooms and suites. Residences will be available for sale through the Taryan Group, the owner and developer of the property. Amenities include three dining venues, a spa, yoga and meditation studios, a fitness center, an onsite surf school, a beach lounge and three swimming pools. Currently, Minor operates two hotels in Indonesia and is planning to grow its presence in Bali this year, with the addition of the upcoming opening of Anantara Ubud Bali Resort in September.

RADISSON ADDS TO VIETNAM PORTFOLIO: Radisson Hotel Group has expanded its presence in Vietnam with the signing of Radisson Blu Resort, Ho Tram. The upper-upscale resort will be located along the beach in southern Vietnam’s Ho Tram. Slated to open in 2028, the 225-key resort will offer rooms, suites and beachfront villas along with restaurants, a beachside bar, a pool, fitness center, spa and meeting spaces. The resort will be part of a new mixed-use project, which will include private residences and a yacht club. Currently, Radisson has four properties across Vietnam.

MARRIOTT STRENGTHENS CARIBBEAN PRESENCE: The Royalton CHIC Antigua, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort, which recently opened in Antigua, has joined the All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, becoming the 33rd property to be a part of the collection. This also helps Marriott add to its Caribbean footprint. Located along the coastline of Antigua, the all-inclusive, adults-only resort features 235 rooms, including 12 overwater suites. The resort includes seven restaurants, five bars, a Diamond Club, spa and a fitness center. This addition builds on Marriott’s partnership with Blue Diamond Resorts, making Royalton CHIC Antigua the 24th property to join the joint venture. Autograph Collection has more than 300 independent hotels located across 50 countries.

SONESTA ESSENTIAL EXPANDS IN TEXAS: Sonesta International Hotels Corp. has opened Sonesta Essential La Porte. The 84-key upper-midscale hotel is located in La Porte, Texas. Situated in suburban Houston, the hotel is close to the Sylvan Beach Park and other sites, such as the San Jacinto Museum and Battlefield. This marks the sixth Sonesta Essential hotel in Texas. The brand offers guests with the essentials during their stay, including Sonesta Essential’s sleep program, complimentary WiFi, a fitness center, complimentary hot breakfast and all-day coffee.

ASCOTT SIGNS IN SINGAPORE: The Ascott Ltd., the lodging business vertical wholly owned by CapitaLand Investment, and Warees Investments Pte. Ltd. have expanded their partnership with their second project, lyf Chinatown Singapore. Ascott began its partnership with Warees in 2004 with the launch of Somerset Becoolen Singapore, which was renovated in 2019. Commissioned by Warees through WJC Heritage Pte. Ltd. and managed by The Ascott Limited, lyf Chinatown Singapore will be the fifth lyf-branded property in Singapore. Scheduled to open in 2026, the property will be spread across 3,394 square meters and feature 90 accommodation units, a co-working lounge, social kitchen, laundrette, rooftop pool, an outdoor courtyard and a terrace. Currently, lyf’s portfolio includes more than 5,900 units operating and in the pipeline across 23 cities globally.
