Briefs: Accor to introduce Pullman in Croatia; Kempinski hotel, residences in Bahrain

ACCOR TO OPEN PULLMAN IN CROATIA: Accor is set to launch its premium brand, Pullman, in Croatia as the group continues to expand in the country. Accor will collaborate with MPPD as the management partner to open Pullman Zagreb. Slated to open in Q3 2024, the new hotel will be located in the business hub of the Novi Zagreb district in Zagreb. The upper upscale hotel will be managed by Accor in partnership with MPPD, which is also a partner of Mövenpick Zagreb and the upcoming Mövenpick Split. Pullman Zagreb will have 193 rooms, a restaurant, a lobby bar, conference facilities and a wellness center. The hotel is part of the larger City Island development, which is spread over 80,000 square meters of land.

KEMPINSKI HOTEL, RESIDENCES IN BAHRAIN: Kempinski Hotels is making its comeback to the Kingdom of Bahrain with a hotel and residential project in a new development at Bahrain Harbour in Manama. Kempinski has partnered with Infracorp, which has over $3 billion in assets under management, for the project. Kempinski Bahrain Harbour and The Residences at Kempinski Bahrain Harbour will be housed in three signature towers at the mixed-use Bahrain Harbour development. The property will have 74 rooms on the upper floors and 186 Kempinski-branded residences spread across the rest of the building, which will open by the end of 2025. The guestrooms and residences will offer views across the marina and Manama skyline. Guests can access a rooftop pool, spa and wellness facilities, a gym, tennis courts, children’s play area, business center and meetings and events areas. Bahrain Harbour will also offer around 60 retail boutiques and dining options.

HYATT’S UNBOUND COLLECTION OPENS IN TOKYO: Hyatt Hotels Corp. has opened Hotel Toranomon Hills as its inaugural hotel in Tokyo under the Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand. Located in the new Toranomon Hills Station Tower in Toranomon Hills in Tokyo, the hotel’s design has been led by the Danish design studio Space Copenhagen. The 205-room hotel offers views of the city of the Tokyo Studio. The property has 30 suites, including a Japanese-style hot tub, along with two duplexes. The hotel also features a multi-functional space with flexible spaces for meetings and co-working spaces and a fine dining restaurant and café helmed by Sergio Herman.

HILTON BROOKLYN NEW YORK SELLS FOR $110M: California-based Ohana Real Estate has acquired Hilton Brooklyn New York for $110 million from Tidal Real Estate, according to reports. The sale also includes three retail condos. Tidal Real Estate, formerly known as Flank, paid $88 million in 2016 to buy Carlyle Group out of its stake in the property. The two groups acquired the site for $38.2 million in 2012 to develop the 196-room Hilton hotel, which opened in 2016. According to the report, Flank refinanced the property with a $55 million senior loan from M&T Bank and a $15 mezzanine loan from Terra Capital.
