ACCOR SIGNS SOFITEL LEGEND IN PRAGUE: Accor and Courbet, chaired by Jean-François Ott, have inked an agreement which will see Accor assuming management of The Mozart Prague hotel. The hotel is set to undergo renovations led by Prague-based architect, Ivo Nahalka, and join the Sofitel Legend brand, a portfolio of historic luxury properties combining heritage and authentic service. The hotel will reopen in 2027 as Sofitel Legend The Mozart Prague. Until the renovations begin, Accor will manage the hotel under a white label and retain its current signage. This will be the brand’s seventh addition and the second one in Europe. Owned by the Courbet group, the Ott family has been in charge of the hotel since 1999. Located in the Old Town district in Prague, The Mozart Prague is situated at the base of the Charles Bridge and offers views of the Prague Castle.
BEST WESTERN ADDS IN TEXAS:Â Best Western Hotels & Resorts has opened Best Western North Side Inn in Wichita Falls, Texas. The 94-room hotel is owned by Nitin Chanana. The hotel recently underwent a complete renovation and features a classic Best Western motif. The hotel offers a fitness center, complimentary breakfast, business center and meeting areas which can accommodate up to 25 persons. The hotel will introduce an outdoor lounge and barbecue area this spring.
CURIO COLLECTION BY HILTON TO VIETNAM: Hilton has opened La Festa Phu Quoc, Curio Collection by Hilton, marking the launch of Curio Collection by Hilton in Vietnam. Overlooking a beach, the resort is situated close to the city’s popular destinations, such as the Hon Thom Cable Car, Kiss of The Sea Show and Kiss Bridge. The hotel has an Amalfi Coast-inspired design and features 197 rooms and suites. Amenities include several dining outlets, an outdoor pool, a spa and a kid’s club.
RADISSON TO INTRODUCE BRANDED RESIDENCES IN THE U.K.: Radisson Hotel Group will soon be launching branded residences in the U.K. and has signed first Radisson Hotel & Serviced Apartments Glasgow. Situated in the city center, the property is scheduled to open in 2027. The new-build upscale project will offer upscale standard and superior rooms and luxury studio and one-bed apartments. The property will include a rooftop bar and lounge with panoramic views of Glasgow, a restaurant on the ground floor, a gym and meeting areas.
URBAN REST EXPANDS INTO NEW ZEALAND:Â Urban Rest, a provider of flexible alternative accommodations in the corporate market, has expanded into New Zealand with the opening of the Urban Rest Sylvia Park in Auckland. The property includes 34 one- and two-bedroom furnished apartments. Situated in the middle of Auckland, the hotel includes a resident lounge and kitchen, co-working areas, a gym, media room and a rooftop BBQ area with views of One Tree Hill and the Panmure Basin. Urban Rest partnered with Kiwi Property to develop the property. Founded in 2017, Urban Rest has grown its presence and opened in key destinations, such as Dublin in 2022 and London in 2023, and has recently expanded in Sydney and Melbourne.
