Briefs: Accor signs first MGallery in the Caribbean; Drury Hotels expands in Georgia

ACCOR ANNOUNCES FIRST MGALLERY IN THE CARIBBEAN: Accor has partnered with Terres de Légendes to announce the first MGallery hotel in the Caribbean. Whimsy Hotel & Spa Saint-Martin — MGallery Collection will be located in Saint-Martin, on the French side of the island. The former Beach Plaza Hotel in Marigot is being revitalized to open as the luxury MGallery hotel. Slated to open in 2025, the hotel will feature 165 rooms, including 40 suites, along with a restaurant, three bars, a spa with four treatment rooms, a gym and 250 square meters of event space. MGallery’s collection includes more than 120 luxury boutique hotels globally, with the brand portfolio planning to grow its network and pipeline by 30% by 2030.

DRURY HOTELS EXPANDS IN GEORGIA: Drury Hotels Co., the Missouri-based family-owned and operated hotel group, has announced the opening of its latest hotel in Savannah, Ga. — The Drury Plaza Hotel Savannah Pooler. This marks the first Drury Hotel in the Savannah area and the fifth one in Georgia. The hotel offers 186 rooms and suites and more than 1,200 square feet of event space. The hotel also includes dining options, an indoor pool, spa, valet laundry facilities, a fitness center, and a business center. Drury Hotels’ current portfolio includes over 150 hotels across 26 states.

HILTON SEATTLE TRADES: APA Hotel Co. Ltd. has completed the acquisition of the Hilton Seattle through APA Hotel USA, a fully-owned vertical of APA Hotel Co. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The hotel will continue to be managed by Stonebridge Hospitality Management and will be rebranded as Coast Seattle Downtown Hotel. Located in downtown Seattle, the full-service hotel features 256 rooms with views of the Seattle Skyline, a restaurant and bar, fitness center and over 6,000 square feet of event space. An underground walkway connects the hotel to the Seattle Convention Center. The hotel will be renovated, which include upgrades to the lobby.

HYATT REGENCY INDIAN WELLS REBRANDS: Hyatt Regency Indian Wells in Indian Wells, Calif. has rebranded to Grand Hyatt Indian Wells & Villas, following a $64 million refurbishment. The hotels 531 rooms, which includes 39 suites, have been renovated, while 43 one- and two-bedroom private villas will open by November. The resort will launch two new restaurants in partnership with Chef Angelo Sosa. The resort also offers expansive pools, a set of 30-foot-high waterslides and a 450-foot lazy river.
