25HOURS VENTURES INTO ASIA: 25hours Hotels is entering into Asia and is set to open in Jakarta later this month. 25hours Hotel Jakarta The Oddbird is located in the Sudirman Central Business District within District 8 and rises 38 stories above Ashta Mall. Drawing inspiration from the neighborhood’s conception as a garden city within a city, the hotel features 210 garden rooms and retro urban rooms with vintage mid-century pieces and curated art. The property also has 135 serviced apartments, 11 lounges and a ballroom. Amenities include multiple dining spaces (and two more to be announced in Q1 2025), co-working spaces with a maxi bar, a spa with an outdoor infinity pool and a shop showcasing local crafts. Part of Ennismore, the 25hours brand operates 16 properties in German speaking countries as well as in Florence, Paris, Dubai and Copenhagen.
SOFITEL EXPANDS IN SOUTHEAST ASIA: Accor has signed a Sofitel hotel and residences in Vietnam. Sofitel Sapa Hotel & Residences will bring the brand’s signature French hospitality to the highlands of northern Vietnam’s Sapa. Located in the Hoà ng Liên Son Mountain range, Sapa is known for its diverse hill tribe communities, rice paddies down the mountainside and the Fansipan peak. When it opens in 2030, the project will offer 176 hotel rooms and 436 branded residences. The property will also have a signature spa, fitness center, heated pool and several dining options. Aligning with Accor’s commitment to sustainability, the project will implement eco-friendly initiatives and practices, including installing energy-efficient systems, waste reduction programs and the use of locally-sourced materials.
HOME2 SUITES BREAKS GROUND: A Home2 Suites by Hilton has broken ground in Elizabeth City, N.C. The hotel will be operated by FCM Hotels. The group already has a Hampton Inn in the area. Located neat Tanglewood Village, Home2 Suites Elizabeth City will feature an all-suite, extended stay concept featuring 99 rooms across four floors. The hotel will also offer community centers, pet-friendly areas and business centers. At present, Home2 Suites by Hilton has nearly 670 open hotels and more than 700 in development.
TRU BY HILTON ARRIVES IN COLOMBIA: Tru by Hilton is debuting in Colombia with the opening of Tru by Hilton Cali Sur. Operated by Hotels MS, the new hotel is located in western Colombia amid universities, shopping centers, hospitals and two technology hubs in the southern part of Cali. The hotel features 98 rooms along with free Wi-Fi, gym and social spaces for games and gatherings. Tru by Hilton Cali Sur also includes a complimentary breakfast bar and a 24×7 market offering snacks, beverages and travel essentials. Hilton has been expanding its presence in Caribbean and Latin America and tripled its estate in the region in the past decade, expanding to nine new countries and launching seven new brands. Currently, Hilton has more than 225 open properties across 29 countries in the region, including more than 20 in Colombia.
